The Sailing Vessel Maggie is a classic Marconi rigged pilot cutter proudly sailing
Tampa Bay and surrounding waters.
In this project for Maggie, we gave her a new bulkhead and galley layout. We worked with the owner to produce a custom ergonomic galley layout with lots of space. We fabricated a custom sapele wood gimball box for the alcohol stove, tabbed in the bulkhead, and finished the entire interior of the galley region. The shelving on the inside is made up of local Florida cypress slats and very strong Ipe shelving tabs. Inter-lux paint along with high quality wood oil was used.The lower galley box below was designed with multiple shelves to hold coffee mugs, silverware, plates, and cooking gear. To top it all of, if you look closely, you will see a tear drop insert designed to hold a wine bottle while sailing or at the dock.
